**LOCATION**:Apodaca / Nuevo León (MX-NLE), Mexico | **BRAND**: Bendix | **REQUISITION ID**:904 |** JOB GRADE**:14**JOB DESCRIPTION**:Performs a variety of engineering activities in planning, designing and testing electronics. Creates documentation for external and internal assembly, e.g., BOM, test specification. Works closely with other engineering disciplines (e.g., mechatronics, internal and external industrial engineering, technical sales towards customer) to ensure quality, to fulfill the requirements and to reach target costs. Performs activities after serial launch, e.g., change and obsolescence management. This position is responsible for the support of development and launch of new electro-mechanical products and maintenance for existing products for the automotive industry.**Essential Functions**:- Development of 3D models, drawings, and release documentation. - Assure the products meet performance requirements and reliability targets. - Interact as part of a cross-functional team with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, plant and customers to support existing and new electro-mechanical products.**Knowledge**: - Proficiency in Pro-E and / or SolidWorks CAD modeling, CAD assembly and CAD drawing creation tools. - Knowledgeable in GD&T (ASME Y14.5M - 1994 Standard) a plus. - Relevant PC software skills include Microsoft Office and Internet. - Knowledgeable in PDM (Product Data Management) and engineering document control / release processes.**Skills**: - Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency, creativity, and confidence to achieve quality results quickly. - Effective organization, documentation, written and verbal communication skills. - Ability to effectively communicate with others, within and with diverse cultures, both independently and within teams and with cross-functional teams in coordinating and prioritizing development. - Ability to handle new assignments, prioritize goals and objectives, demonstrated integrity and motivation. - Engineering understanding of both electrical and mechanical systems.**Education**: - Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar required.
