Position Summary The Buyer, Procurement Operations, supports purchasing activities at all Company locations. Responsibilities include working with internal customers to create and manage purchase requisitions and purchase orders, training users in purchasing system use, and ensuring compliance with requirements. The Buyer also works closely with Procurement Category Managers to manage supplier performance and responsiveness. The Buyer is in contact with suppliers regularly for ongoing data management and collection of compliance data. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Facilitate training on Oracle purchasing systems Provide daily support for purchasing process and systems questions Process requests for supplier data maintenance to ensure accuracy Contact suppliers for required compliance data, capture and track responses Escalate non-responsive suppliers to Category Management and Management Test new or enhanced functionalities in purchasing systems Reconcile supplier invoice discrepancies and returns (RTVs) Track and report cost savings Special projects as assigned Knowledge & Skills Knowledge of purchasing practices and procedures Proficient in Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook Working knowledge and proficiency with Oracle iProcurement or equivalent Excellent verbal and written communication skills Strong analytical, interpersonal, and organizational skills Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment High attention to detail Minimum Qualifications, Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university Minimum of 3-5 years of experience similar role in medical device manufacturing industry Experience with purchasing system required. Oracle purchasing system preferred Oracle BI experience Fully Bilingual Spanish/English
