Industrial/Lean Engineer

We’re looking for an Industrial / Lean Engineer (early career) who enjoys being close to operations and improving how things work on the shop floor. This role focuses on reducing waste, improving flow, and standardizing processes through data‑driven, practical Lean improvements. What You’ll Do Analyze and document end‑to‑end processes using Value Stream Mapping (VSM), SIPOC, and Standard Work. Conduct time & motion studies, cycle/takt time analysis, and identify bottlenecks and constraints. Apply Lean tools such as 5S, Kaizen, Kanban, and Visual Management to improve flow and productivity. Develop and maintain Standard Work Instructions (SOPs/SWIs) to ensure consistent, high‑quality execution. Build and track KPIs (OEE, FPY, WIP, throughput, scrap, rework, changeover time) and present clear, actionable insights. Partner with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, and EHS on continuous improvement initiatives. Run improvement pilots, quantify impact, and help scale successful solutions across shifts or lines. What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Operations, or related field (or equivalent experience). 1–3 years of hands‑on experience in manufacturing or operations. Practical experience with time studies, process mapping, and Lean/CI tools. Strong Excel/Sheets skills (pivot tables, lookups); exposure to Power BI or Tableau is a plus. Working knowledge of Lean principles (5S, Kaizen, Kanban, VSM) and basic Six Sigma concepts. Clear communicator, comfortable translating data into shop‑floor actions.
