Traffic Applications Engineer SQA

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Transportation), Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent demonstrated technical experience. 7 years of hands-on experience in traffic engineering, traffic signal operations, or detection systems, with progressive responsibility in technical roles. Proven expertise in traffic controllers, sensor technologies (radar and video), and signal turn-on/configuration procedures. Strong working knowledge of interpreting and troubleshooting electronic schematics, wiring diagrams, and field network topologies (including TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing/switching environments). Proficiency in Linux and Windows environments, with experience using diagnostic tools such as Wireshark, logic analyzers, or serial/network monitors. Experience working directly with customers or agencies, providing field support, troubleshooting, and technical resolution. Experience in test automation and scripting (e.g., Python, C, or C++) is a significant plus. CCNA, IMSA, or other relevant traffic and networking certifications are advantageous; a strong understanding of network protocols, topologies, and diagnostic tools is strongly preferred.
