About the Role Participate in the monitoring and execution of sustainability-related activities, focusing on a more sustainable product portfolio and eco-efficient operations at a global scale, thereby contributing to the achievement of the company’s overall sustainability strategy. Main Responsibilities: Routine Activities in Decarbonization, Water, Waste, Effluents, Air Emissions & Biodiversity: Monitor compliance with environmental indicators using the company’s management platform and generate departmental reports. Standardize data collection methods and prepare reports in line with GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) standards. Update the decarbonization project portfolio in coordination with relevant departments, addressing GHGs, energy, water, and waste. Manage existing sustainability projects, quantify environmental benefits, and keep management tools current. Organize workshops to identify new opportunities and facilitate experience-sharing across industrial units. Support the implementation of the internal carbon pricing model. Assist with conducting and maintaining financial risk studies related to climate change. Contribute to the action plan aligning GHG reduction goals with science-based targets. Research best practices of competitors and clients on GHGs, energy, water, and waste. Participate in identifying and selecting relevant start-ups and companies. Provide data and support the communication process for sustainability metrics to CDP, Sustainability Reports, TCFD, GRI, etc. Assist with audits including Intelex, data reporting, emissions inventory, ISCC certification, and more. Support the development and implementation of biodiversity strategies. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, chemical engineering, environmental engineering or similar. Proficient conversational English (C1) 1 year of experience in Sustainability, industrial chemical processes, and/or product life cycle analysis. Advanced Excel (macros, pivot tables). Very Data driven and Autonomous. Availability to travel nationally and internationally (2-3 per year). Desirable skills: Previous experience with Power BI and Tableau. Chemical industry experience. SimaPro and Gabi (Life Cycle Analysis software). Basic-intermediate Portuguese. Desirable knowledge: Sustainable Development / ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance). Green Chemistry. Materiality Assessment. SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals). Sustainability Strategy. GRI, SASB, TCFD, CDP, Ecovadis indicators and reporting Sustainability Reporting. Climate Change. Sustainable Products. Life Cycle Assessment / Product Carbon Footprint. Sustainability Portfolio Evaluation. Project Management.
