Finance Leadership Opportunity An esteemed organization is seeking a seasoned Financial Manager to oversee its finance, legal compliance, and administrative operations in Mexico. This role is ideal for a professional with strong financial acumen, leadership skills, and experience in managing legal and tax obligations in alignment with corporate standards. Key Responsibilities: Financial Strategy and Control: Manage monthly and annual closings, financial statement preparation, and cost control. Lead budgeting, financial forecasting, and performance analysis. Oversee commission calculations, corporate card reconciliations, and financial reporting to HQ. Legal and Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with ISR, IVA, IMSS, INFONAVIT, and labor law requirements. Coordinate SAT filings, audits, and respond to tax authority inquiries. Supervise contract validation and legal documentation for leases and vendor agreements. Serve as point of contact for external legal and tax advisors. Internal Controls and Risk Management: Design and maintain internal control policies and compliance protocols. Conduct internal audits, vendor evaluations, and expense review (e.g., Concur reports). Foster a culture of accountability and regulatory compliance. Administrative and Team Leadership: Supervise payroll, benefits administration, and vendor contract renewals. Evaluate team performance, drive development plans, and lead operational meetings. Coordinate closely with corporate offices in the U.S. and Japan. Ensure smooth operation of day-to-day administrative tasks, including asset management and logistics. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting (required). MBA or Master's in Finance, Business Administration, or related field (preferred or in progress). Additional certifications in Taxation or Legal Compliance (a strong plus). Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in finance, administration, and compliance roles. Solid background in SAT filings, audits, and coordination with regulatory bodies. Proven track record in financial planning, payroll, accounts management, and HR policy oversight. Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP, QAD, Contpaq, and Excel. Strong command of NIF, IFRS, and/or US GAAP. B2+/C1 level English: capable of professional communication with international stakeholders. Desirable Qualifications: Experience with transfer pricing, deferred tax management, and actuarial evaluations. Knowledge of corporate governance and labor litigation in Mexico. Exposure to ERP implementations and process automation. Comfortable working in multicultural environments, particularly with Japanese partners.
