Powder Coating Engineer

POWDER COATING ENGINEER Work Mode: ON SITE Location: Onsite – Juárez, Nuevo León, México Opportunity Basic Function: The Powder Coating Engineer will have technical responsibility for implementing and improving manufacturing processes in the Organics area at the Sanimex Faucet Operation (SFO) for new SKUs, current production, or equipment introductions. Success in this role requires a focus on creating efficient, cost-effective processes with safety, quality, and productivity as priorities. Specific Responsibilities: Direct the flow of material and operation of all equipment related to the Organics process. Diagnose equipment and process problems associated with the Organics process, understanding previous and subsequent operations. Lead major capital projects and equipment purchases for capacity and strategic purposes. Support corporate initiatives for the international growth of Global Faucets Operations. Develop detailed process specifications and routings for manufacturing. Develop, document, and train staff on all processes related to the Organics process (e.g., PFMEA, Control Plan, Flow Chart, PAPE). Investigate and test new processes or changes to improve costs, quality, and productivity. Assist in providing cost estimates for new projects. Collaborate with the Kohler supplier network domestically and internationally. Oversee current production performance and new product launches, including technical assessments and tooling design. Manage the timeline of the Organics process from project initiation to operational certification for new components. Skills/Requirements: Education: Bachelor of Science Degree (ABET) in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, Applied Physics, Chemistry, Metallurgy, or related field. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in powder and lacquer painting operations. Additional Skills: Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred, GD&T proficiency, advanced engineering coursework in powder and lacquer paint, manufacturing or technical environment experience, proven change management skills, PPAP, CAD, and SAP experience preferred.
