Sr. Reservations and Customer Service Specialist (Night Shift)

Position Description RentalQuest is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Reservations and Customer Service Specialist to join our team during the night shift . In this role, you will assist with guest reservations and ensure an exceptional guest experience from start to finish. Reporting to the Lead Reservations and Customer Service Specialist, you will handle reservation inquiries, provide outstanding support, and contribute to creating memorable stays for our guests. Additionally, this position includes night audit responsibilities, such as reviewing and reconciling daily reservations and guest payments.  The ideal candidate will be a tech-savvy, sales-oriented professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about exceeding guest expectations. Responsibilities Manage and respond to reservation inquiries, converting them into bookings by effectively showcasing the unique features of our properties. Utilize sales techniques to upsell additional services such as tours, transfers, private dinners, extra cleanings, etc. Track and process reservation payments accurately and on time. Monitor and address reservation cancellations, working to retain bookings where possible and finding solutions for guests. Assist guests with any questions or concerns during their stay, demonstrating excellent problem-solving skills to enhance the guest experience. Quickly and effectively resolve any issues guests may encounter during their stay, ensuring a smooth, enjoyable experience. Act as a concierge, offering recommendations on local attractions, dining, and activities to help create memorable stays. Ensure guests receive complete check-in information prior to arrival. Help maintain an up-to-date knowledge base with accurate property and reservation information. Assist in creating and updating property manuals, including essential details like arrival instructions and frequently asked questions. Follow up on guest reviews after check-out and respond professionally to feedback received. Act as Night Auditor, reviewing and reconciling daily reservations to ensure accuracy in pricing, taxes, fees, and booking details, while also reviewing payments and accounts payable to identify and address discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records Requirements 3 to 5 years of experience in reservations or customer service within the hospitality industry. Sales-driven and committed to delivering outstanding customer service. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proficient with technology and able to quickly adapt to new tools and systems. Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
