Purchasing Operations Manager

Purchasing Leader Role Oversee and lead the purchasing team in an electronics manufacturing environment. This role will be responsible for supervising day-to-day procurement operations, developing sourcing strategies, managing supplier performance, and ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet production needs. Key Responsibilities: Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of senior buyers and purchasing buyers to ensure optimal performance and compliance with company policies. Monitor and manage the procurement of electronic components, raw materials according to production schedules and inventory requirements. Analyze MRP data and plan purchasing activities to optimize material flow and minimize costs. Resolve supply chain issues including delivery delays, quality concerns, and invoice discrepancies in coordination with suppliers and internal departments. Develop and implement purchasing KPIs, reporting tools, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency. Collaborate closely with production planning, engineering, quality, and finance teams to align procurement strategies with company objectives. Ensure compliance with internal control procedures and corporate policies. Provide regular updates to management on material risks, cost trends, and supplier performance. Qualifications: Minimum of 5–7 years of experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably in the electronics manufacturing industry. Proven supervisory or team lead experience with a strong ability to coach and develop team members. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills. Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems. Familiarity with electronic components, BOMs, and vendor management. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Fluent in English.
