Key Responsibilities: Oversee all operational activities at a production facility, including production, quality control, engineering, supply chain management, maintenance, and health and safety. Develop strategic plans to ensure the optimal functioning of operations, creating action plans and setting goals for the team. Lead continuous improvement initiatives, proposing strategies for cost reduction and deploying investment plans aligned with the company's growth strategy. Plan and coordinate production activities with support departments, ensuring efficient execution in terms of time, cost, and quality. Maintain regulatory compliance and obtain necessary certifications (FDA, CTPAT, ISO, etc.). Foster a culture of safety, talent development, ethical compliance, and operational excellence within the organization. Manage the site budget, seeking opportunities to reduce fixed and variable costs, improve profitability, and increase overall equipment efficiency. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet quality, delivery, cost, safety, and organizational climate goals. Ensure optimal use of materials to maximize manufacturing process efficiency. Develop and implement HSE strategies to reduce accident rates and promote prevention. Implement a proactive maintenance approach, prioritizing preventive maintenance over corrective maintenance. Coordinate with global teams to ensure strategic alignment and functional support. Collaborate on activities promoting quality and safety within the organization. Comply with sustainability guidelines. Provide leadership by establishing the team's vision and goals, defining area objectives, managing individual and team performance, and supporting talent development. Required Skills and Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree preferred. Experience: Minimum 10 years in the maquiladora industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in FDA-regulated medical device manufacturing. Technical Knowledge: Regulatory standards (ISO, FDA, applicable NOMs), quality systems, Lean Manufacturing, external audit leadership. Key Skills: Strategic leadership, effective communication and negotiation, crisis management and decision-making, results orientation and talent development. Language: Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written). Supervises functional managers.
