Senior Procurement Leader

Develop, implement and improve strategic sourcing policies. Create cost estimates and forecasts, negotiate cost-effective contracts with key suppliers, and oversee our sourcing team. Ensure success on the company sourcing strategy, demonstrate negotiation strategies knowledge and experience. Accomplish sourcing strategy to translate into higher profit margins and a competitive advantage. coordinating the planning and purchasing of raw material and MRO purchasing for TMM plant. As well as supporting receiving and scheduling of the front to end operations, which will support aligning and integrating our supply chain process. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Continuously building and maintaining healthy relationships within the company’s business and their partnerships Ensuring that the organization deals in low cost, high quality, and dependable goods. Assisting in the development and management of strategic sourcing work project plans Identifying and assisting with the development of strategic business relationships both internally and externally Gathering and providing periodic analysis reports Analyzing, examining, and determining market trends and conditions Participating in project management and enterprise resource planning programs Managing, tracking, and monitoring the company’s costs, market fluctuations, and supplier performance Identifying and maintaining a good relationship with new suppliers Reducing lead time and increasing consistency by working with certain supply chain tools and technologies Preparing analytical reports and industry outlooks for upper management. Understand and execute all safety rules and guidelines. Use the safety equipment required by the safety policy. Monitor purchase orders. Identify cost reduction opportunities by price, usage control, and improving process. Report and file savings monthly. Establish procedures and systems to monitor spending by supplier and commodities. Measure, follow up and control supplier purchase order and work with sourcing to reduce supplier past due. Negotiate terms and conditions with suppliers. Get quotes and place orders according to purchasing procedures. Coordinate purchase orders from approved requisitions and keep a purchase order number log on electronic and paper. Implementation and coordinate Kan ban min / max of packaging and tooling suppliers. Plan, purchase and follow up material needs according to plant requirements Vendors’ update the ERP system and file. Update providers the ERP system and physical file system. Fill vendor application form for Mexico and USA. Take necessary actions to ensure suppliers do not deliver before the requested delivery date. Weekly report to identify tooling purchase orders to cancel or "push out ", purchase orders to be placed based on Min and Max and review it with engineering. Set up MRO stock room. Verify availability of Raw material and tooling prior to releasing production schedules to the shop floor. Qualifications A bachelor’s degree in fields of study such as supply chain management, operations and industrial engineering, or in any related educational discipline. 5 or more years’ related experience in a similar position. Strong PC skills with a working knowledge in Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Word. MRP software . Effective Negotiating Karras APICS certification is a plus. Be organized, self-motivated, and ability to plan and prioritize. Be thorough and detail oriented. Be objective, open minded, and seek continuous improvement. Have good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Comfortable working in both a factory and office environment. Understand the value and importance of teamwork.
