Job Title: Operations Department Specialist The Operations Department Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of the factory. This individual serves as the first point of contact between office departments and factory management teams, facilitating communication and workflow to meet production and operational plans. This position requires technical expertise and strong leadership skills to support strategic processes in the plant. The Operations Department Specialist is responsible for providing guidance on quality systems, MES, and processes that result in improved internal and external quality for customers, as well as enhanced productivity and production efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Determine and advise on various operations-related issues such as damaged parts, packaging choices, standardization of processes, work order creation, customer complaints, and regulatory compliance topics. Develop and implement the 2 Second Lean Program by guiding departments on how to complete initiatives, reviewing issues to remedy them, ensuring safety and quality are not affected, and creating training for new leaders about the program. Support internal customers including all factory shifts and locations, including nights, weekends, and office departments, on behalf of the Plant Manager. Organize Employee Involvement Meetings for factory team members, which may involve attending night and weekend shift meetings and attending or providing guidance for office Employee Involvement Meetings. Coordinate factory operations tours or operations audits for both external and internal clients. Represent the Operations Department in various company initiatives and make independent decisions on behalf of the department. Analyze and present information in various formats to the Plant Manager, including production reports, data from troubleshooting items, and underlying issue analysis. Create and maintain proper documentation and file maintenance for the Operations Department. Required Qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering Degree; Master's degree desirable. 5 or more years' related experience and/or training required. 10+ years of experience in Quality, Lean Six Sigma. Strong working knowledge of Assembly and Sheet Metal. Excellent influence/leadership skills. Proficient in MS Word and Excel. Flexible work hours as needed. Ability to speak Spanish and English. Ability to travel to USA. Good communication skills and networking skills. Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail. Handle sensitive and confidential information. Positive attitude, team player, supports company direction and policies. Ability to handle challenging situations and respond appropriately. Ability to think ahead, set daily and weekly goals, and create action plans to achieve results. Prioritize assignments and follow up until completion.
