About Architect Motors Architect Motors is on a mission to revolutionize personal transportation in the developing world with a purpose-built electric motorcycle that combines cutting-edge engineering and tailored financing solutions. We are building a vertically integrated electric motorcycle business in Mexico that combines innovative electric vehicles with a tightly integrated financing model , unlocking access for a much broader customer base. The business spans importation, assembly, distribution, retail, and after-sales, with operations designed to scale rapidly. We have an ambition to become the largest vehicle company in Mexico. We’re looking for a Director of Operations to own and build Mexico operations end-to-end. This role is for someone who wants real responsibility: taking high-level goals and turning them into functioning supply chains, retail networks, and operating systems. You’ll work closely with the CEO and senior leadership, with broad ownership over how the business actually runs on the ground as you scale the operations from zero to tens of thousands of vehicles per year. This is an opportunity to building durable operational infrastructure around a differentiated product and business model and bringing electric mobility into the mainstream. Responsibilities Own day-to-day operations across Mexico: supply chain, warehousing, distribution, retail, and after-sales Build and scale inbound logistics, inventory management, and last-mile delivery Stand up and run retail locations and dealer / distributor networks Design operating processes, SOPs, KPIs, and reporting from an early-stage baseline Improve unit economics, cost control, and operational efficiency as volume scales Hire and lead operations, logistics, and retail teams Coordinate cross-border execution with US leadership and international suppliers Manage operational aspects of Mexican import, regulatory, and compliance workflows Ideal Background Management consulting background (MBB or similar), with a strong desire to be an operator Proven hands-on execution in supply chain, logistics, and distribution Experience managing distribution of physical products with inventory and lead times Track record of scaling operations in fast-growth or ambiguous environments Automotive, motorcycle, EV, mobility, or adjacent hardware experience (nice to have) Strong analytical skills paired with pragmatic, on-the-ground decision-making Fluent Spanish and English; experience operating in Mexico strongly preferred Location & Compensation Mexico-based (Mexico City or major operating hub) Competitive compensation with meaningful upside tied to company growth Team Led by fmr McKinsey and MIT alum, and twice YC backed startup founder Engineering HQ is in San Francisco, CA The venture is well funded and backed by a 200m+ private capital fund with extensive experience in Latam #J-18808-Ljbffr
