Descripción del trabajo

Direct message the job poster from Verley Verley is a biotechnology company based in Lyon (France), focused on developing dairy proteins through precision fermentation. Our aim is to offer sustainable, high-quality alternatives to traditional animal-based ingredients, contributing to the evolution of food production methods. We bring together a team of scientists and engineers with complementary expertise, working to turn promising technologies into concrete applications for the food industry. Position Overview Verley is entering a key phase in its growth: the industrial deployment of its proprietary biotechnological processes. After successful validation at laboratory and pilot scale, we are now moving toward full‑scale manufacturing through a network of external production partners (CMOs). Senior Process Engineer – On‑Site Technical Representative The Senior Process Engineer will serve as Verley’s on‑site technical representative at its CMO partner facility in Mexico City. In this role, you will oversee the execution of Verley’s processes and the day‑to‑day follow‑up of contract manufacturing activities, ensuring that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and according to Verley’s standards. You will act as the primary link between Verley’s R&D and Industrialization teams in Lyon and the CMO’s production teams, supporting process transfer, scale‑up, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. The position reports to the Lead Process Engineer and involves regular travel between Mexico and France. Key Responsibilities Support the industrialization of fermentation and purification processes from pilot to commercial scale. Contribute to process parameters adjustment and fine tuning when moving from lab to pilot and production scale. Define, monitor, and analyze key process parameters to ensure robustness, reproducibility, and cost‑efficiency. Assist in the creation and optimization of process documentation and SOPs. Collect, analyze, and interpret manufacturing data to identify technical improvements. Serve as Verley’s main technical contact at the CMO site and ensure proper implementation of Verley’s processes, documentation, and quality standards. Coordinate tech transfer activities: process documentation, operator training, and production readiness. Oversee the day‑to‑day technical execution of contract manufacturing, ensuring compliance with agreed objectives (quality, timelines, costs). Support the CMO in implementing new equipment and technologies in the plant. Review manufacturing documentation (batch records, deviations, CAPAs) and support troubleshooting during production campaigns. Provide structured technical feedback to the Lead Process Engineer and broader Industrialization team. Provide strong on‑site support for continuous process & product improvements (productivity, yields, quality, cost of goods). Cross‑Functional Collaboration Act as the operational interface between Verley’s R&D, Quality, Analytical, and Regulatory teams and the CMO. Contribute to risk assessments, process control strategies, and validation documentation. Participate in internal reviews and continuous improvement initiatives related to process performance and CMO management. Profile 5+ years of experience in bioprocess development, scale‑up, or manufacturing operations. Proven experience with tech transfer and external manufacturing (CMO/CDMO) environments. Solid knowledge of bioprocess engineering, ideally spanning both upstream (USP) and downstream (DSP) operations. Strong problem‑solving and analytical mindset; comfortable with hands‑on support in production settings. Excellent communication skills, capable of fostering collaboration between sites and cultures. Fluent in English and Spanish; French is a plus. Willingness to travel regularly between Mexico and France. What We Offer An innovative environment, where scientific excellence and curiosity drive cutting‑edge developments in food science. An entrepreneurial culture, where each team member has the opportunity to make a real difference and directly contribute to the company’s growth. A global mindset, with a diverse team of experts from around the world, combining unique perspectives to tackle complex challenges. A shared commitment, where we all share in Verley’s success and growth through our employee stock option plan (BSPCE). At Verley, we celebrate diversity and inclusivity and are proud to welcome applicants of all backgrounds in our mission to revolutionize the future of food and biotechnology. #J-18808-Ljbffr
