Here you are supported, here you are celebrated, here you can thrive. Your New Role… The Senior Manager – Music Royalties & Finance will lead the end-to-end music royalties process for Warner Bros. Discovery’s music business, overseeing a team responsible for royalty statement processing, contract and product setup, royalty calculations, statement distribution, and payment coordination. This role is accountable for ensuring royalty obligations are processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with contractual terms and internal controls. This position also supports music-related FP&A, accounting, and reporting activities, including forecasting, financial analysis, revenue allocations, close support, and management reporting. The role partners closely with Legal, Accounting, Controllership, AP, Payroll, Audit, and business stakeholders to ensure strong execution across music royalties and finance processes. Your Role Accountabilities… Lead the end-to-end music royalties process, including statement intake, contract and product setup, royalty calculations, statement distribution, and payment coordination. Manage and develop a team of 4, including 3 team members supporting royalties operations and 1 team member supporting accounting/finance activities. Oversee the setup and maintenance of royalty agreements and financial terms in the royalty management system, ensuring accurate interpretation and application of contracts. Review and approve royalty calculations, statements, and related payment support to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Serve as the main escalation point for complex participant inquiries, statement issues, payment matters, audit requests, and rights-related questions. Partner with Accounting and Controllership on revenue allocations, accruals, journal entries, close support, and accounting treatment of music-related revenue. Support budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, monthly reporting, and ad hoc financial analysis for the music business. Prepare and present reporting and insights to music and finance stakeholders, including revenue trends, performance updates, and risks/opportunities. Drive process improvements, automation, and systems enhancements across royalties, accounting, and finance workflows. Build strong cross-functional partnerships across Legal, Accounting, Controllership, AP, Payroll, Audit, Tech, and business teams to support efficient and controlled execution. Qualifications & Experience… 6–8+ years of experience in royalties, finance, accounting, or related entertainment industry operations. Experience managing or overseeing royalty calculation, statementing, and payment processes. Strong Excel and financial analysis skills, with experience handling large data sets. Strong understanding of contracts, financial terms, and operational controls. Strong verbal and written communication skills in English. Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across functions. Experience leading or developing team members. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field required. Preferred Qualifications… Experience in music, entertainment, studio, publishing, or participations. Experience with Record Maestro, SAP, Fiori, Workday, or similar systems. Strong accounting knowledge, including accruals, reconciliations, and close support.
