Role Description Field Service Engineer is responsible for responding to customer calls and completing technical service tasks such as equipment installation, debugging, programming and commissioning, calibration tasks, corrective maintenance, and other duties as assigned. Instruct customers on how to operate equipment and perform operator-level troubleshooting, all related to wire harness automation equipment. Functions Operate, install, calibrate, and maintain fully automatic machines used for cable processing operations such as stripping, crimping, housing insertion, and sealing. Provide preventive and corrective maintenance services to customers to ensure high machine reliability and uptime. Perform Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) at customer facilities. Diagnose and troubleshoot machine issues, perform necessary adjustments, and implement continuous improvement actions. Collaborate closely with production, quality, and engineering teams to achieve optimal machine performance and process stability. Communicate effectively with international colleagues and clients in English to ensure smooth project execution. Be available for 24/7 on-call technical support according to customer service schedules. Deliver hands-on technical training to customers, including both operators and engineering teams, to improve their equipment proficiency. Perform additional service and technical tasks as assigned by the Service Supervisor or Engineering Manager. General Requirements US visa required Proficient in English and Mexican Spanish; proficiency in Mandarin Chinese is an advantage Ability to communicate clearly with team members and clients Driver’s license Good working knowledge of computer software and hardware (PLCs, drivers, HMI) Task management and organizational capabilities Availability to travel within Mexico and around the world (NA, LATAM, ASIA, Europe) Mechanical and electronic abilities Experience in machinery mechanical assembly Education & Experience Requirements Electromechanical Engineer, Mechatronics Engineer, or related field 2 years of experience (or more) in mechanical debugging or maintenance of customized automation equipment
