Our client is a globally operating industrial group in the automotive supply sector, with multiple production sites across the Americas and Europe. The organization specializes in aluminum casting technologies, including gravity and low-pressure casting, and supports leading OEM and Tier 1 customers. To strengthen process excellence, industrialization capabilities and cross-plant collaboration, we are hiring a Gravity & Low-Pressure Casting Expert based in Mexico. The Role AsGravity & Low-Pressure Casting Expert, you will be responsible for developing and industrializing robust, efficient and competitive casting processes across the full product lifecycle — from quotation and concept development to series production and continuous improvement. You will act as ahands-on technical expert with strong cross-functional exposure, working closely with customers, tooling suppliers, production teams and international plants. A key focus of the role is ensuringprocess stability, cost efficiency and scalable manufacturing standards, while actively contributing to capability building across the organization. This role is ideal for aprocess-driven casting specialistwith strong shopfloor experience who combines technical depth with a structured and improvement-oriented mindset.Key Responsibilities Product Development & Quotation Support Develop competitive technical concepts based on customer specifications, 3D models and drawings Ensure strong Design for Manufacturing (DfM) across the full casting value chain (cores, casting, finishing, heat treatment) Define tooling concepts and automation levels to ensure efficient and reliable production Support product risk assessments (FMEA/DFMEA) and define validation approaches (DVP&R)Process Design & Industrialization Design and implement robust manufacturing processes aligned with business and operational targets (OEE, TEEP) Lead Process FMEA and establish manufacturing standards and quality characterization methods Evaluate and introduce new technologies, suppliers and tooling concepts Align process design with Group standards (tooling, CAD/CAM, competencies) Optimize resource utilization (financial and operational)Process Validation, Launch & Performance Define process parameters to ensure stable and efficient production ramp-up Monitor and validate process performance using key KPIs (scrap rate, cycle time, OEE) Apply structured methodologies such as Design of Experiments (DOE) for process optimization Ensure compliance with ergonomic and operational standardsProduction Handover & Support Ensure complete and structured process documentation for production Train production teams to ensure stable series manufacturing Support operations in analyzing recurring issues (e.g. scrap, downtime) and implement sustainable improvementsContinuous Improvement & Advanced Development Drive continuous improvement initiatives (CIP) using structured problem-solving methodologies Contribute to new product and process development in alignment with Group strategy Evaluate and validate new casting technologies, tooling solutions and materials (e.g. aluminum alloys) Lead and support simulation activities (e.g. MAGMASOFT or comparable tools)Cross-Plant Collaboration & Capability Building Provide technical support and knowledge transfer across multiple plants Train and coach process engineers through structured programs (including Train-the-Trainer approaches) Contribute to building sustainable engineering capabilities within the organizationWhat We’re Looking For Solid experience ingravity and/or low-pressure casting, ideally in aluminum environments Strong expertise inprocess design, industrialization and casting-related product development Hands-on experience on the shopfloor with a deep understanding of casting processes and tooling Experience with simulation tools (e.g. MAGMASOFT or similar) is highly desirable Strong knowledge of aluminum alloys and castability principles Structured, analytical and solution-oriented mindset Strong problem-solving capabilities with a focus on root cause analysis Ability to work cross-functionally and across international teams Strong communication skills and ability to transfer knowledge effectively Experience in training and mentoring technical personnelWhat’s Offered High-impact technical expert role with strong influence on process design and industrialization Exposure to international projects and cross-plant collaboration Opportunity to shape and improve casting processes across multiple sites Dynamic environment with strong focus on engineering excellence and continuous improvement Competitive compensation package (details shared during process)How to Apply (Confidential Search) Please apply with your resume.
