**About the Role**As an Product Design Manager, you will lead and mentor the design and engineering team, serving as an internal consultancy body to address matters of project specification, project detailing, quality standards definition and packaging design **for the architectural windows and doors industry**.Your responsibilities include ensuring timely, budget-conscious, and high-quality project completion, while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to align engineering efforts with overall business objectives. You will establish and implement best practices for engineering processes, manage resource allocation, and foster innovation through the adoption of new technologies. Additionally, you will oversee compliance with safety and regulatory standards and drive continuous improvement within the engineering function.**Your Responsibilities**- **Internal Engineering Consultancy for Pre-Sales**:Find and validate engineering solutions to accommodate client requirements channeled through our Sales Operations Team. This requires deeply understanding the systems, establishing a communication channel with line suppliers for questions and validating solutions with our fabricators. Also, this pillar involves generating a database of operabilities, finishes, hardwaresfor each of our lines for the sales team to access and clear questions- **Internal Engineering Consultancy for Execution**:Find and validate engineering solutions to accommodate fabricator, packaging and installation requirements. Including solutions to rectify problems in project specifications but also solutions to expedite project delivery- **Shop Drawings**:Establish and maintain the Shop Drawing function of the company - ensuring completeness, accuracy, validation from system suppliers and fabrication and quality control- **Quality Standard Definition**:Set quality standards across our lines. Generate and update a glossary of quality non-conformities and channel information to the Quality Department for implementation- **Research and Development**:Work along the systems acquisition and supplier acquisition team (COO) to evaluate new systems and feasibility of fabrication- **Technology Drive**:Collaborate with Product Management and Design to inform product roadmap for automation- **Process Establishment**:Define Engineering Team processes and agree with Project Management Office department top embed in software tool and automation- **Lead and manage the engineering team**, providing guidance, mentorship, and support. Set engineering priorities and allocate resources efficiently across projects. Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to enhance team performance.- Manage engineering budgets, including forecasting and cost control.**Skills**- Competence in design and engineering principles for manufacturing.- Technical experience in the design and development of engineering and shop drawings for doors and windows.- Project management skills, including resource allocation, scheduling, and budget management- Strong knowledge of engineering processes, methodologies, and best practices (e.g., Agile, Lean, Six Sigma)- Expertise in systems design, development, and implementation- Proficiency in engineering software and tools relevant to the industry (e.g., CAD, Grasshopper, LogiKal)- Experience with product lifecycle management (PLM) and design-for-manufacturability (DFM) principles- Knowledge of regulatory standards and compliance (e.g., safety, environmental, industry-specific standards)- Data analysis and performance tracking skills, including monitoring KPIs for engineering projects- Strong problem-solving and technical troubleshooting abilities- Proficiency in budget management and financial forecasting for engineering projects- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and presentations- Ability to manage risk and ensure quality control in engineering outputs- 4+ years of experience- Fluent English**Education & Background**- Degrees in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering/ Architecture/ Industrial Design- Knowledge in practices in engineering- Experience in project management and cross functional collaborationWork Location: Hybrid remote in 06500, Cuauhtémoc, CDMX
