Software Quality Assurance Professional

About the Role We're looking for a highly motivated Software Tester who combines sharp attention to detail with a strong technical foundation. You'll be embedded within an agile development team, playing a key role in ensuring quality throughout the development lifecycle-from local testing environments to frequent production releases. This role is ideal for someone who has a developer's mindset but is passionate about building reliable, well-tested products through a quality-first lens. You'll work closely with developers, product managers, and release engineers to validate features, uncover edge cases, and continuously improve testing processes. What You'll Do Set up and manage projects in local development environments to validate features and investigate issues Execute automated test suites and support the maintenance of automation infrastructure Collaborate with developers and product teams in an agile environment, participating in sprint planning and daily stand-ups Test and validate frequent releases across multiple environments Report, track, and verify bugs using tools like Jira and GitHub Contribute to quality documentation and test planning efforts Optionally assist in deployment and release coordination activities What We're Looking For Required Skills & Experience: Proficiency with GitHub and version control workflows Hands-on experience running projects locally for testing and validation Background working in Agile development environments (experience with Jira is a plus) Experience testing in frequent release cycles or continuous deployment environments Ability to run and interpret results from automated test suites Preferred (Nice to Have): Familiarity with test automation frameworks like Playwright or Maestro Exposure to release deployment workflows or CI/CD processes Understanding of branching strategies, release pipelines, and code promotion between environments Who You Are A QA professional with strong technical instincts-ideally someone who could have gone down the development path, but chose to focus on quality A systems thinker who understands not just how to break things, but how to improve the way things are built and delivered Detail-oriented, collaborative, and comfortable working in fast-paced, iterative environments
