As a Contractor at Canva, you can work remotely in Mexico, with this being a 4-month contract role. What you’d be doing in this role As Senior Art Director, you’ll collaborate with the Creative Director to elevate Canva’s visual presence in Mexico. You’ll work with copywriters and freelancers on projects that enhance our brand, from performance ads to campaigns shaping Canva’s perception in Latin America.Design expertise is crucial. We seek someone who can bring concepts to life with creativity, attention to detail, and a strong grasp of motion design. This role is ideal for a versatile individual capable of storytelling through design.Learn more about our brand: Canva Brand | Home Current focus areas include: Leading visual direction for campaigns, ensuring freshness, consistency, and innovation. Designing storyboards for ads and reels that bring Canva to life. Pitching concepts and presenting work to senior leaders and stakeholders, articulating creative vision and strategy. Writing creatively and clearly, matching the quality of your designs. Passionate about art direction and design that is beautiful, meaningful, and provocative when needed. Collaborating with external vendors, providing clear art direction and feedback. Working with the Creative Director to manage schedules and deadlines. You're probably a match if You have proven experience in advertising and branding design. You possess strong design skills, including motion design, and can lead projects end-to-end. You understand digital and product design, with proficiency in Figma. You’re excited to work with Canva. You are fluent in Spanish (native level) and have strong English skills. Bonus: experience art-directing films or photoshoots. This is a remote role with flexible hours, requiring occasional evening meetings (6-9 PM).
