Job DescriptionAnalyze and update client requirements, architecture, and design, communicating changes to internal departments Review 2D and 3D harness designs, ensuring correct interpretation and liaison between client and plant Evaluate and resolve plant engineering change proposals and seek continuous improvement ideas Support multidisciplinary design team as plant liaison and lead sample buildup processes Create New Part Number Requests (NPNRs) for new components and Manufacturing Feasibility Reviews (MFRs) for all new designs Define validation plans, evaluate test results, and create bills of materials (BOMs) Execute relevant methods and tools, including Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Design for Manufacturing (DFM) Initiate and follow up on Value Analysis and Value Engineering (VAVE) ideas Perform design release engineering and support pre-RFQ conceptual projects for clients Communicate periodically with client and supplier engineering departments, providing technical insights and support for presentationsQualificationsEngineering degree (Mechanical/Electrical/Automotive preferred) 3 years’ experience in Automotive E/E Design Basic knowledge of 3D CAD tools and E/E schematics Proficient English speaking and writing skills (80%) Good teamwork and interpersonal skills Problem solving skills Willingness to travelAdditional InformationUpper law benefits.
