Sr. Buyer

Your Job As a Buyer at Molex Guadalajara, you will be responsible for managing the purchasing process to ensure the timely delivery of quality materials at the best price. You will play a critical role in executing procurement activities through ERP systems, building strong relationships with suppliers, and collaborating closely with internal teams to support the operational needs of our Guadalajara Purchasing division. Our Team You will join the Guadalajara Purchasing team, working alongside planners, production supervisors, quality teams, and sourcing managers. This collaborative group drives efficiency and alignment across supply chain operations to support Molex’s manufacturing excellence. What You Will Do Drive procurement processes by managing purchase orders and ERP execution to ensure materials arrive on time and meet quality standards. Build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal customers to foster collaboration and continuous improvement. Lead issue resolution and escalations with suppliers and cross-functional teams to secure supply chain reliability. Monitor supplier performance and inventory levels, contributing to accurate forecasting and cost management. Support new product introductions (NPI), tooling, and change management by coordinating purchase and follow-up activities. Identify opportunities for process improvements and apply Lean principles to optimize procurement operations. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree or professional degree in a relevant field. Proven purchasing experience with solid knowledge of ERP systems and procurement execution. Proficient in advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, SUMPRODUCT, etc.) and Microsoft Office tools. Strong communication skills in both written and verbal English (approximately 80% proficiency). Demonstrated problem-solving ability using tools like Ishikawa diagrams and 5 Whys methodology. What Will Put You Ahead Experience with SAP and Power BI for data analysis and reporting. Knowledge of Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies. Exposure to global supplier interactions and cross-cultural communication. Ability to work independently while effectively prioritizing in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with Molex sourcing strategies and organizational processes.
