Your Job As an SQE Superintendent, you’ll play a key leadership role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our raw material supply chain. You’ll coordinate critical activities within the incoming inspection area, drive supplier qualification processes, and lead a high-performing team dedicated to upholding the highest standards of supplier quality and operational excellence. Our Team You’ll be joining the DSS division, working closely with cross-functional partners in Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering. Our collaborative environment empowers you to make meaningful improvements and drive supplier performance, supporting company-wide excellence in product quality and compliance. What You Will Do Champion continuous improvement in supplier qualification, material inspection, and corrective action processes. Lead and mentor the SQE and Incoming Quality team to achieve ambitious quality goals. Develop and implement strategies for managing and elevating supplier performance, including “worst case” suppliers. Oversee supplier quality system audits and ensure successful APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) contributions. Coordinate actions related to discrepant materials (MRB, block stock) and lead rework/100% inspection initiatives when needed. Facilitate effective communication with suppliers regarding quality issues, expectations, and performance feedback. Support and advance 5S, EHS, Quality, and Lean initiatives throughout the organization. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience/qualifications. Proven experience in supplier qualification, development, or incoming inspection of raw materials. Proficient English (C1 level): Able to communicate effectively and flexibly in diverse contexts. Experience with SAP and intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Demonstrated ability to utilize quality tools relevant to supplier quality engineering. What Will Put You Ahead Leadership experience managing SQE or Incoming Quality teams. Hands-on experience with APQP processes. VDA (Verband der Automobilindustrie) audit certification or direct experience conducting supplier audits. Track record of implementing Lean, EHS, or 5S programs in a manufacturing or quality environment. Proven ability to develop and execute supplier performance improvement strategies.
