You will be part of the Amazon Logistics team, responsible for the day-to-day management of the delivery station, overseeing on-the-road operations that focus on the delivery of Amazon orders directly to customers. You will lead a team of Process Assistants and Delivery Service Partners in daily management of the delivery station, including operational reviews, training sessions, assigning job duties, and communicating with DSPs, including owners and representatives. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: -Promoting a culture of safety -Ensuring that people are properly trained and their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs -Supporting and assigning job duties to process assistants -Adapting to sudden changes and growth according to operational necessities, due to the nature of Amazon's business -Tracking & monitoring sorting operations and driver dispatch -Helping with in-station operations: receiving, scanning, lifting, and moving shipments up to 25 kg #AmazonMexico Key job responsibilities -Manage staff, resources, consumables and key metrics for the delivery station. -Coordinated operative meetings, communicated with support areas, handled proper escalations, and analyzed data. -Ensured proper operations, planned shifts, audited plans, and executed last-mile operations. A day in the life 1. Conducts Gemba walks and audits plans 2. Manages shift start-up 3. Executes safety audits, walks, and stand-up meetings 4. Verifies daily operations plan, volume, staff attendance, and route planning 5. Engages with associates, completes performance audits, and conducts quality inspections 6. Completes reports (Daily Ops Plan, Shift Recap Board, End of Shift Report) and addresses any discrepancies in reporting tools 7. Holds end-of-shift meetings with leadership team to review performance opportunities and establish necessary action plans 8. Performs shift handoff to incoming Shift Manager (in person or email) and creates next-day plans- Availability to work rotating shifts according to business requirements, as well as weekends and holidays - High school diploma - Basic to intermediate English level (A2) - Intermediate level of Excel - 1+ year of experience as a people manager - 3+ years of general work experience- Bachelor's degree completed - Fluent in English - Advanced level of Excel - Solid understanding of Lean manufacturing processes Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
