This role The Director of Global Fraud Analytics leads the fraud analytics team responsible for optimizing PayJoy’s automated anti-fraud systems, balancing seamless user experience with fraud prevention, and building new tools leveraging data as a competitive advantage. This includes core functions such as Risk Strategy, Fraud Strategy, Portfolio Valuation, Machine Learning, and Data Science. Responsibilities Optimize PayJoy’s automated anti-fraud tools protecting distribution networks, transactions, and onboarding systems. Develop and implement analytics models to detect and prevent fraud across all markets. Analyze fraud trends, write queries, and optimize strategies to identify patterns. Lead development or procurement of new anti-fraud tools. Manage rules, thresholds, and ML models in collaboration with Data Science. Communicate vision and partner with teams to execute strategies. Mentor and build the Fraud Analytics team. Stay updated on trends and technologies in data analytics and fraud detection. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 7+ years of experience in designing and optimizing large-scale anti-fraud systems in a high-growth Fintech environment. Strong leadership and management skills with at least 2 years leading high-performing teams. Proficiency in Python and related libraries (e.g., Scikit-Learn, Pandas, Flask). Knowledge of ML lifecycle: data extraction, feature engineering, model deployment, monitoring. Experience with cloud providers (AWS preferred) and containerization (Docker). Experience in credit risk modeling or fraud detection in financial markets is a plus. Good communication skills in English. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing requirements.
