About The Role We are looking for a driven Engineering Manager to lead our Android Mobile Team, guiding technical execution, team development, and product delivery for our Android apps. What You’ll Do Manage and mentor a team of Android engineers. Collaborate with Product, Program, and Design to define and execute the roadmap. Set technical direction and guide architectural decisions for high performance, scalability, and maintainability. Deliver polished user experiences tailored to Android screens and spatial interfaces. Oversee day‑day operations including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives. Drive cross‑functional collaboration across design, quality, infrastructure, and other platform teams. Provide regular feedback and career growth support through one‑on‑ones and performance reviews. Recruit, hire, and onboard top engineering talent to grow the team. About You Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. 9+ years of experience building native Android applications. 3–5+ years managing engineering teams, with passion for developing people and building cohesive teams. Strong experience in Kotlin, Jetpack Libraries, and Android platform development. Deep understanding of performance optimization, asynchronous rendering, and large‑screen or immersive experience design. Strong communicator and collaborator, able to work across functions and disciplines. Excited about spatial computing and unique design challenges it presents. About The Team The Android Mobile Team builds and maintains Crunchyroll applications on Android mobile, tablet, automotive, and VR, delivering rich, performant user experiences that bring anime to life.
