Department Department Admissions Job Purpose Reporting to the Director of Undergraduate Admissions, the Associate Director of Admissions assists in planning, coordination, and evaluation of all recruitment outreach activities for traditional undergraduates to align with Admissions Office and institutional operations, policies, and procedures. - Oversee operations of the Admission Visitors’ Center, including the Tour Guide, Royal Ambassador and Visitors’ Center work study programs. Direct supervision of the Visitor Center Coordinator - Research national, state, and high school data to coordinate the development of strategic recruitment plans. Lead staff in planning and executing all domestic admissions travel in coordination with the Director of Undergraduate Admissions. Expand travel activities to develop a presence in our Expansion Markets through Royal Recruiter program and, as appropriate, targeted counselor travel - Directly manage the coverage of fairs and other recruitment events via the Royal Recruiter Program by overseeing the process of identifying Expansion Market opportunities, gathering alumni volunteers, and ensuring relevant training and coverage - Directly manage training processes for undergraduate admissions staff in all applicable policies and procedures in conjunction with Director of Undergraduate Admissions - Utilize available technologies, including College Board software, Slate CRM , and intelligence provided by vendors and consultants to conduct geodemographic research and direct staff in planning travel; analyze reports and use analysis to direct future activity in conjunction with the enrollment management team- Track effectiveness of high school visits, college fairs and outreach programs - Lead and supervise the operations of an admissions counselor team specifically focused on campus visit experience (team composition is determined by the Director of Admissions). Assess, and continuously improve the visit experience for all admissions visitors to campus through a robust survey protocol. - Support undergraduate Slate ( CRM ) operations in conjunction with admissions leadership to assist in reaching all outreach needs and objectives- Responsible for all aspects of managing a designated recruitment territory, including attending college fairs, high school visits and other assorted recruitment events - Conduct large and small group presentations and conduct one-on-one appointments - Independently review and render decisions on freshmen applications; evaluate and judge the academic credentials and other relevant factors - Maintain existing/develop new relationships with influencers on and off campus through receptions and programs for prospective students, parents, counselors, and other influencers - Conduct outreach to prospective students and answer incoming communications of students, counselors, parents, and any other influencers Additional Skills Required - An understanding of the basic principles of marketing, recruiting, admissions and financial aid- Outstanding organizational skills- Computer literacy in word, excel, and access is required- Familiarity with relational databases including Banner and CRM systems- The ability to interact and work with students, faculty, and administrators- Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills, public speaking skills, ability to organize and implement programs, counseling skills, and the ability to use them persuasively- Understanding of the Jesuit heritage within Catholic higher education- Must have a valid driver’s license and passport with no travel restrictions- Must be willing and able to regularly engage in recruitment travel- Must be able to respect, support and contribute to the University’s Catholic and Jesuit missionPreferred Education Minimum Job Experience Requirements - At least three (3) years of progressive experience in college admissions and/or higher education Preferred Qualifications Years of Experience Years of Experience 3 University Classification University Classification Professional FLSA Classification FLSA Classification Exempt Schedule/Work Hours Schedule/Work Hours Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional hours as required.
