Flex is the diversified manufacturing partner of choice that helps market-leading brands design, build and deliver innovative products that improve the world.We believe in the power of diversity and inclusion and cultivate a workplace culture of belonging that views uniqueness as a competitive edge and builds a community that enables our people to push the limits of innovation to make great products that create value and improve people's lives.Job SummaryTo support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Material Quotation Manager located in Guadalajara, North Campus.Reporting to the Material Quotation Manager, Material Quotation Manager role involves being responsible for guiding the quotation team to plan and coordinate all customer quotes and ensure they are provided in an accurate, timely and cost-effective manner, to establish and maintain strong internal and external relationships, to develop and grow business with customers and to support the creation, development and implementation of quotation strategies and policies in order to deliver the maximum advantage to the business and its customers.What a typical day looks like:- Manage the quotation department’s budget.- Be responsible for ensuring accurate, timely responses to customer quotations.- Plan, implement and oversee all activities related to the quotation process including the preparation and coordination of Request for Quotations (RFQ’s) for materials components, subassemblies and or services based on quote requirements received from various departments within the organization.- Review, evaluate and approve quotations for content and oversee the preparation of complete cost evaluations.- Work closely with the Quotation Team in ensuring 100% accuracy in the on-time delivery of all quotations.- Be responsible for watching technology trends and preparing cost reduction and other business recommendations based on those trends.- Manage relationships with external customers and other internal departments such as business development to ensure cost effectiveness for the business and the customer.- Liaise with Business Development Managers, Global Account Managers and Senior Management to gain pricing approval.- Liaise with the customer in ensuring specific requirements in quotations are met.- Act as a point of escalation for both customer and staff queries and complaints.- Develop and implement quotation and contract management instructions, policies, and procedures to ensure best service levels are achieved at all times.- Assist in the implementation of appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.- Implement appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.The experience we’re looking to add to our team:- BA/BS/MBA or equivalent work experience.- Fluent English.- Previous experience in material and manufacturing, including supervision.- Previous experience in Metal Mechanical Industry (Stamping).- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, decimals, interest and discounts.- Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent and to draw and interpret graphs.- Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference to practical situations.- Ability to define and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.- Demonstrates advanced functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.- Demonstrates expert knowledge of the function and a thorough understanding of Flex and related business.- Demonstrates knowledge of multiple functional technologies/processes, industries or functions and understanding of interdependencies of such processes at the site.- Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.- Demonstrates expert functional, technical and people and/or process management skills as well as customer (external and internal) relationship skills.- Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex functional/ technical area or broad breadth of knowledge in multiple areas; understands the strategic impact of the function across sites. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret the most complex documents.- Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.- Ability to write speeches and articles using original or innovative techniques or style.- Ability to make effective and persuasive speeches and presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.What you’ll receive for the great work you provide:-
