Position overviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Junior Legal Counsel Americas to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will provide legal advice to internal stakeholders and support the legal function across a broad range of corporate, commercial, procurement, and regulatory matters. This role requires strong analytical skills, discretion, legal research capabilities, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Although based in Guadalajara, this position may support legal matters in the United States, Canada, Mexico, and Brazil. ResponsibilitiesSupport Legal Counsel Americas with standard contract reviews (e.g., NDAs, vendor contracts, service agreements).Provide legal advice and guidance on a wide range of issues, including corporate governance, contracts, and regulatory compliance in Mexico and other countries as needed.Monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory deadlines and legal requirements across the Americas.Assist Legal Counsel in managing internal clients and maintaining relationships with local legal representatives.Track changes in local laws and regulations that may impact the company.Support the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures.Assist in creating and delivering legal and compliance.Required skills and experience3-5 years of legal experience, ideally with a combination of law firm and in-house roles.Licensed to practice law in Mexico and in good standing (Cédula Profesional required).Proven interest in international legal issues and cross-border transactions.Strong skills in legal research, document drafting, and contract review.Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation abilities.Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.Experience working with cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, Compliance, R&D, Procurement) is a plus.High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.Familiarity with case management software.Prior experience in corporate and commercial law is preferred.QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Law (Licenciado en Derecho/Abogado) from an accredited law school.Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
