We positively engage with personal and professional development and school improvement.ISP Upper School Math Key Responsibilities- Plan and Deliver InstructionDesign and implement engaging, rigorous math lessons aligned with the curriculum standards (e.g., Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Statistics).- Differentiate InstructionAdapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs, learning styles, and ability levels of students.- Assess and Track Student ProgressDevelop, administer, and grade assessments; provide timely, constructive feedback; and maintain accurate academic records.- Foster Critical Thinking and Problem Solving- Create a Positive Learning EnvironmentEstablish a classroom culture that promotes respect, collaboration, curiosity, and academic integrity.- Integrate TechnologyUse digital tools and platforms to enhance instruction, support learning, and facilitate communication with students and parents.- Collaborate with ColleaguesWork with other faculty members to align curriculum, share best practices, and support interdisciplinary projects or school initiatives.- Communicate with FamiliesMaintain open, professional communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress, classroom expectations, and school events.- Participate in School LifeContribute to the broader school community by attending meetings, participating in professional development, and supporting extracurricular programs or student events.- Maintain Professional StandardsStay current with developments in math education and pedagogy; comply with school policies, safeguarding requirements, and ethical standardsSkills, Qualifications and Experience**Skills**:Classroom management - Skilled in maintaining a respectful, focused, and supportive learning environmentQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Mathematics Education, or a related field (required).**Experience**:2-5 years of experience teaching mathematics at the Upper School level.ISP Commitment to Safeguarding PrinciplesISP is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.ISP Commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging
