Business Systems Analyst The primary function of the Business Systems Analyst is to act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams. This role requires strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Job Description: Work with Scrum Master and product owners to develop a mature backlog and translate it into a concise development plan. Perform Scrum Master duties as needed. Triage and analyze issues quickly, and report findings to help the development team resolve issues efficiently. Develop functional specification documents that outline how a system or application will function, including specific features and functionality. Develop and maintain process documents – this includes process maps, workflows, and other documentation that illustrates how business processes work, often including both current and future state processes. Develop and maintain technical documentation – this includes data models, API specifications, and system documentation architecture. Provide clear status updates and explain the scope/requirements of assigned projects. Collaborate with product owners to assist with prioritization. Engage dependent services teams and facilitate integration discussions, explaining requirements received and needs from the service team. Ensure dependencies are met and provided to the development team in a timely manner, escalating when issues arise. Assist with resolving any roadblocks that arise during development in a sprint. Work closely with the development team to ensure all requirements are met before handing off to QA testers. Assist the development team with creating test data. Build trust with the business (IT or other Divisions) and throughout the organization. Foster speed, innovation, and encourage continuous improvement. Required to be familiar with current mobile functionality and continually build a knowledge base with every enhancement/change that occurs. Ability to explain at a high level the current mobile architecture and service interactions. Obtain service endpoints and integration documents for the development team. Required Skills and Qualifications: 5+ years of IT experience. 5+ years of requirements, business, and systems analysis or similar experience. 5+ years of technical documentation experience. Working knowledge of Agile SDLC. Strong analytical, logical, and interpersonal skills. Excellent communication and facilitator skills. Must be clear and concise in written and verbal communication. Must be a proactive self-starter. Nice-to-Have Skills: Experience with tools that facilitate agile development, such as Jira, ADO, Taiga, Rally, Team Foundation Server, etc. 3+ years of experience with Mobile Application development teams. Experience working with Customer Facing Digital Channels and/or the travel industry. Experience working with modern technology such as web service, XML, JSON, iOS, and Android platform features.
