Java Software Engineer Job Description This is a key role within our organisation where you will design, develop and maintain high-quality Java applications. Your main responsibility will be to create innovative solutions that meet the company's objectives. You will work closely with teams in other departments to identify and prioritise requirements. Develop best practices for the team and participate in code reviews with stakeholders. Conduct technical analysis to arrive at solutions and create artefacts in response to production issues. Required Skills and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's or Master's degree in software engineering, computer science or related field. 5+ years of experience in Java development. Strong knowledge of Java languages and web development frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, Struts. Expertise in developing web applications using front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript). Working knowledge of database technologies (MySQL, Oracle). Preferred Skills and Qualifications The following skills are highly desirable: Relevant certifications. Knowledge of cloud computing technologies (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Familiarity with agile software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum). Experience with DevOps practices and tools (Git, Jenkins, Docker).
