BI Reporting (QA Engineer)

Proven expertise in functional testing of enterprise-level reports and dashboards . More than 4 years of experience. Strong testing background : Functional, Non-Functional, UI, Data Validation, Regression, Exploratory , and End to End testing. Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Detail-oriented with strong analytical thinking and a structured approach to testing. Solid understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Defect Lifecycle processes . Capable of handling multiple priorities, adapting quickly, and maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines. Willingness and ability to learn and align with Lineage Logistics' development and testing lifecycle . Daily Activities: Review business requirements, functional specs, and source-to-target mappings to understand report logic and testing scope. Perform comprehensive UI-level functional and data validation of reports and dashboards, ensuring accuracy of layout, filters, KPIs, aggregations, and business logic. Design, create, and execute test cases and scenarios for various report types including summary, detail, exception, and KPI dashboards. Derive test cases from Agile ceremonies and discussions, ensuring alignment with acceptance criteria and updating test documentation accordingly. Ensure 100% test coverage across story validation, regression cycles, and post-production deployments. Validate front-end report data against source systems such as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or known target systems. Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA team members to confirm delivery of complete and accurate reporting solutions. Actively participate in Agile ceremonies and report all issues with detailed steps to reproduce and screenshots, where applicable. Conduct cross-environment validation to confirm consistent report functionality and data accuracy across QA, Stage, and Production. Support UAT by assisting stakeholders with report validation and addressing user feedback. Maintain well-organized documentation including test plans, test cases, results, and sign-off artifacts. Hands-on experience testing reports built using Sigma, Jaspersoft, and Power BI . Proficient in using Agile tools such as JIRA, Confluence , and similar platforms for defect tracking and documentation.
