Location: Guadalajara Workplace type : Hybrid Ingredion is seeking a Payroll Team Lead to join our Payroll Team and support our Americas-based operations. This role is key to ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliance, and analytics, while also providing leadership and support to payroll administrators. This position is responsible for leading and supporting payroll operations for weekly, biweekly, and monthly payrolls (union and non-union), ensuring accuracy in deductions, taxes, and benefits. This role reports to the Payroll Supervisor and provides indirect leadership to payroll administrators. What will you do: Oversee and provide backup for payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with CBAs and legal requirements. Manage payroll activities and delegate tasks to the team to meet deadlines. Validate employee data changes (hires, terminations, pay changes) through automated and manual processes. Support W2/W2C filings and respond to tax authority inquiries. Monitor payroll and benefit payments to vendors and resolve internal and external inquiries. Assist in audits and implement remediations with leadership. Train new employees and address knowledge gaps within the team. Analyze payroll data for trends and performance improvements. Ensure SOX & RACM compliance and support continuous process enhancements. Collaborate with business partners and report monthly performance. What you will bring: University degree in Accounting or related field. 5+ years of payroll experience, with at least 1 year in a leadership role. Advanced knowledge of payroll policies and procedures. Experience with expense reimbursement and vendor payments. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Who you are: Highly organized with strong attention to detail. Excellent communicator with strong customer service skills. Skilled in Microsoft Excel and other payroll systems.
