Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the shipment, receipt and distribution of goods.What a typical day looks like:Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution operations by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures. Complies with local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation; enforcing adherence to requirements; advising management on needed actions. Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with data storage system. Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement. Achieves financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions. Monitors volume of business and defines appropriate work schedule. Sets productivity and establishes necessary controls to ensure objectives are met. Monitors condition and maintenance of operating / material handling equipment. Constantly monitors the efficient handling of shipments and receipts to create an error free culture. The experience we’re looking to add to our team:BA/BS or equivalent work experience. Experience in materials management. Experience in inventory management. Experience in reception area, assortment of material. Knowledge and use of Excel.
