The candidate will be welcomed within the Vendor Management unit, a transversal area within Telefónica Global Solutions responsible for managing end-to-end relations with partners and providers, including economic and strategic discussions, as well as operational support. Mission As a Vendor Manager, you will be responsible for developing strategy, managing engagement, overseeing the cost of sale budget, and achieving economic targets for vendors under your responsibility. You will manage vendors from regions such as APAC and Eastern Europe, based in Madrid. Accountabilities / Responsibilities Build and maintain relationships with assigned vendors. Own the cost of sale budget and control efficiencies. Develop and execute efficiency plans. Engage in transversal activities for key customers in your region, including developing new products with vendors, exploring new business opportunities, and quality assurance. Support other areas within Telefónica Global Solutions in vendor communication to ensure smooth operations for our customers (commercial, service delivery, service assurance). Create and maintain action plans (strategic, economic, operational) for each vendor. Assist the Vendor Strategy & Agreements Unit in negotiating existing vendor agreements and onboarding new vendors. Monitor business evolution, including new demand and cancellations. Contribute to the evolution of processes and tools. Core Competencies Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills: articulate, confident, able to build relationships, and communicate across diverse countries and cultures in a matrix environment. Good decision-making skills, goal-oriented, flexible, proactive, positive mindset. Budget management expertise. Excellent written and oral communication skills; confident presentation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Qualifications, Training & Experience University degree (Engineering, Telecoms, etc.). Approximately 6 years of experience in telecommunications or vendor management. High proficiency in Spanish and English, both spoken and written; Chinese language skills are a plus. Strong knowledge of the global telecommunications industry. Availability to travel. Data analysis skills are advantageous.
