About the Last Mile Optimization Team The primary mission of the Last Mile Optimization team is to analyze and design on-road operational strategies, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance delivery efficiency. The Last Mile Optimization Manager acts as a key liaison between stakeholders, including delivery station leadership, delivery programs, finance, planning, and support teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment on operational objectives. By implementing sophisticated productivity initiatives and establishing clear performance metrics, the team drives continuous improvement in on-road execution, maintaining high service levels while maximizing operational efficiency and cost-effectiveness across the last-mile operation. Key Responsibilities Manage delivery of Amazon orders directly to customers, seeking optimal efficiency in on-road operations design. Manage daily relationships with multiple Delivery Stations and stakeholders. Identify and solve problems to close gaps between performance and goals. Collaborate with key partners such as Planning, Fulfillment Experience, Finance, Business Coaches, Operations, ACES, HubDP, eDSP, and Topology. Determine optimal channel allocation volume with OTR Planning, Finance, and Delivery programs. Manage RIM-Scheduling processes to ensure optimal fleet design. Establish Last Mile cost mechanisms with Operations Regional and Finance teams. Provide knowledge and training to OTR Managers during their Academy. Serve as the Delivery Per Paid Hours (DPPH) Regional Point of Contact to improve operational excellence. Lead on-road evaluation projects to ensure alignment with strategies such as Speed, Cost, SPR, and DPPH. Focus on channel allocation optimization, on-road operation projects, and overall operation optimization. Qualifications 3+ years of program or project management experience. 3+ years of experience working cross-functionally with technical and non-technical teams. 3+ years of experience defining and implementing process improvements using data and metrics. Bachelor's degree. Advanced knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) and SQL. Experience in defining program requirements and using data to drive improvements. Fluent in English (speaking, writing, reading). At least 3 years of experience in end-to-end delivery and communicating results to senior leadership. Experience in process improvement initiatives. Stakeholder management experience dealing with multiple organizational levels. Experience in building processes, project management, and scheduling.
