Position Summary The Manager, Health Safety & Environment is responsible for developing and supporting the implementation of Health, Safety, and Environment management systems for the Manufacturing Operations facility at Avante 790, Sin Nombre de Col 14, 67190, Guadalupe, N.L., Mexico. This position will drive and lead sustainability efforts for health, safety, and the environment for our Customers, employees, and surrounding communities. The individual will be an integral team member of the Manufacturing Operations group, implementing best practices for STERIS employees. The goal is to attain and sustain STERIS World Class Safety Excellence for all employees. Duties Health, Safety and Environmental Management (75%) Contribute to developing and supporting the effective implementation of the facility HSE strategy, with regular reviews. Maintain knowledge of HSE legislation and emerging risks, reporting changes impacting the business and supporting response strategies. Manage the development, implementation, review, and maintenance of documented HSE management systems, including policies, work methods, and safety leadership standards. Develop, deliver, and assess engaging HSE training programs, ensuring training needs are met with comprehensive curricula and tools. Provide HSE leadership, support, and guidance to achieve compliance and objectives. Develop and maintain HSE Management Systems aligned with ISO 45001 and 14001 standards. Identify gaps in HSE management systems, develop actions to address them, and review risk assessments and control measures. Oversee HSE incidents, including injury reporting and investigations, ensuring compliance with policies. Analyze HSE performance data, identify concerns, and report via dashboards to facilitate appropriate actions. Environmental Compliance Management (25%) Manage environmental compliance, conducting reviews to ensure adherence to relevant regulations. Coordinate waste management processes in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Prepare and communicate reports based on updates to environmental regulations. Coordinate environmental compliance tasks. Education Bachelor's Degree Required Experience At least 8 years of experience as an HSE Supervisor/Manager or similar role, including supervision experience, with specific experience in Mexican occupational health regulations (4 years) and waste regulations (2 years). Skills Teamwork and independent work capability. Leadership, facilitation, training, and mentoring skills. Project and problem resolution skills. Supervisory experience and people management skills. Knowledge of Safety and Health Management Systems (ISO 45001) and Environmental Management Systems (ISO 14001). Interpersonal and influencing skills for management relationships.
