Our broad portfolio of high-quality and differentiated branded generic medicines reaches across multiple therapeutic areas including gastroenterology, women's health, cardiometabolic, pain management/central nervous system, and respiratory.The Marketing Director defines the strategic direction and leads the execution of all pharmaceutical brand activities in the country. This includes developing and implementing marketing plans that drive brand awareness, differentiation, and loyalty, ultimately supporting both short and long-term business objectives.What You’ll Do- Lead pharmaceutical marketing initiatives, shaping brand strategies and tactical plans for both established and pipeline products to achieve financial goals. - Oversee full profit and loss responsibility for assigned brands, driving volume growth, refining pricing strategies, and managing advertising and promotional investments effectively. - Monitor and interpret key performance indicators—including Evolution Index, market share, growth, sales, volume, and pricing—to identify trends and recommend strategic or tactical adjustments. - Guide and align cross-functional teams, particularly in sales and demand generation, to ensure consistent execution of brand objectives. - Contribute to the development of the Long Range Plan (LRP) and country OEM strategies to support sustainable and profitable growth. - Assess new product opportunities through market analysis, go-to-market planning, and financial forecasting to inform portfolio decisions. - Lead cross-functional efforts to deliver successful product launches using the Launch Excellence (LEx) framework, ensuring timely market entry, budget adherence, and achievement of post-launch performance goals. - Collaborate with global marketing teams to ensure local execution aligns with global strategies, while sharing market insights to support broader planning. - Attract, mentor, and retain a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous development. - Ensure all marketing activities adhere to legal, ethical, and corporate standards, upholding Abbott’s Code of Conduct.Required Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. - 5–10 years of senior-level marketing experience, ideally within the pharmaceutical industry. - Proven track record in sales, including at least 5 years in a relevant leadership role. - Strong results orientation, with a history of delivering measurable business outcomes. - Strategic and analytical mindset, with the ability to interpret complex data and develop innovative, market-driven solutions. - Demonstrated leadership in team development and coaching, with a consistent ability to build and nurture high-performing teams. - Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish, with excellent written and verbal communication skills in both languages. - Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster open dialogue, collaborate across functions, and effectively influence internal and external stakeholders.Preferred Qualifications- Deep financial acumen with the ability to lead forecasting, budgeting, and ROI analysis to support data-driven decision-making and maximize brand impact. - Experience navigating complex organizational structures, with a proven ability to align diverse stakeholders across commercial, medical, regulatory, and global teams. - A proactive, hands-on leader who thrives in dynamic environments—able to execute tactical initiatives while maintaining a strategic vision for long-term brand growth. - Resilient and adaptable, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm for driving innovation, overcoming challenges, and inspiring teams through change.Apply NowFollow your career aspirations to Abbott for diverse opportunities with a company that can help you build your future and live your best life.
