Senior Financial Analyst

Business Controller Job Opportunity The challenge: We are partnering with a manufacturing facility in Mexico to find a Business Controller who can make a meaningful impact on our financial performance. Financial Analysis and Planning: Monitor and maintain business unit financial information. Collaborate with management to develop and implement business plans that drive return on assets. Analyze accounting and operational data to enhance EBITDA. Supervise the plant accounting function, leading staff to achieve high proficiency, integrity, and efficiency. Coordinate budgeting, financial reporting, and forecasting for the Transformer business unit. Oversee annual financial planning and monthly forecasting, ensuring achievement of financial objectives. Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations for accurate financial reporting. Develop audits of financial data and work with external auditors during year-end audits. Compare actual costs to quotes and engineering estimates to identify root causes of variances. Assist with evaluating capital requirements and performing financial analysis for investment opportunities. Ensure accurate material and labor reporting at a work order level. Participate in cost savings and continuous improvement projects. Review balance sheet account reconciliations and report any material changes or potential liabilities. Actively participate in sales forecasting, focusing on manufacturing capacity and constraints. Conduct business analysis to recommend sourcing alternatives to Purchasing. Participate in and audit physical inventory verifications, monitor cycle counts, and review excess and obsolete inventory reports. Develop work center labor and overhead rates for the plant. Requirements: Degree in Accounting 5+ years of controlling experience in a medium to large manufacturing environment Experience working for a company with cross-border operations Bilingual, English and Spanish Experience with job costing systems and ERP systems MBA or CPA (or candidate thereof) Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Effective communication and business partnering skills
