Business Operations Specialist

">The primary objective of this role is to ensure the effective management and control of business unit financial information. This entails monitoring, maintaining, and properly reporting key financial metrics to senior management. Develop and implement strategic business plans designed to optimize return on assets. Analyze and interpret accounting data to identify trends and areas for improvement. Supervise the plant accounting function and manage a team to ensure accurate and timely reporting. Coordinate the preparation of budgetary forecasts and financial reports in accordance with established timelines. Monitor and report on variances to achieve financial objectives. Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy and compliance. Responsibilities Develop and maintain financial analysis and supporting documentation for senior management. Ensure accurate reporting of material and labor costs at a work order level. Participate in cost savings and continuous improvement projects. Conduct periodic audits of financial data. Degree in Accounting or relevant field. 5+ years of controlling and/or heavy cost accounting experience in a medium to large manufacturing environment. Experience working for a company with cross-border operations. Bilingual, English and Spanish. Experience with job costing systems. Previous experience working with ERP systems.
