Data Engineer Senior

As a Senior Data Engineer at OMRON, you will lead the architecture, design, and optimization of scalable data pipelines and infrastructure, with a strong focus on Snowflake and Master Data Management (MDM). You will play a key role in ensuring data integrity, governance, and alignment with business objectives, while driving innovation through AWS technologies and modern data tools. This role also involves mentoring junior engineers, collaborating cross-functionally, and delivering high-impact data solutions that enable advanced analytics and decision-making. Key Responsibilities Lead the architecture, design, and optimization of scalable data pipelines in Snowflake, ensuring performance, reliability, and cost efficiency Design and govern MDM pipelines, establishing data standards and ensuring consistent data quality across the organization Define and implement data governance frameworks, validation processes, and best practices Analyze and enhance existing data systems to improve performance, scalability, and cost optimization Mentor and guide junior data engineers, promoting best practices and technical excellence Develop advanced data models to support analytics, reporting, and data science initiatives Drive the adoption and integration of AWS services for data processing and storage Partner with data scientists and analysts to enable machine learning workflows and scalable data solutions Ensure timely and accurate data delivery from the data warehouse, continuously improving processes and monitoring KPIs Evaluate and implement emerging technologies to strengthen data engineering capabilities Education & Experience Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical or business-related field 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer Proven experience designing and optimizing large-scale data solutions using Snowflake and AWS Technical Skills & Expertise Expert-level SQL (query optimization and performance tuning) Strong programming skills in Python for data processing and automation Advanced experience in data warehousing (DW) and complex data modeling Hands-on experience with data governance and data quality frameworks Experience integrating machine learning models and supporting data science workflows Advanced experience with Power BI or similar data visualization tools Experience with DBT and modern data stack tools is highly preferred Leadership & Collaboration Proven ability to lead data-driven initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams Strong mentoring experience, guiding junior engineers and influencing technical direction Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels Live the OMRON experience and shape the future with US!
