Senior Manager Supply Chain Management

JOB OBJECTIVE: The Supply Chain Materials Manager will provide strategic direction, outstanding leadership, and daily tactical support to ensure that customer service, productivity, quality, and operational efficiency are executed in a manner that supports our rapid growth strategy across all locations under their responsibility. This position will require travel as necessary, evaluating past performance data to forecast business needs, transportation, delivery, and storage of goods, and inventory management, developing budgets, policies, procedures, and functional infrastructure to support business objectives. RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversee and direct all supply chain management (SCM) practices in accordance with new or changing "Best-in-Class" environmental policies, standards, regulations, or laws. • Define and ensure compliance with key performance metrics for measuring, comparing, or evaluating supply chain factors such as product cost, on-time delivery, or quality. • Set the overall direction for SCM collaboration in the sales, finance, operations, and manufacturing planning (S&OP) process and drive KPIs to ensure that material planning aligns with demand. • Lead the reduction of overall supply chain risk by developing supply chain contingencies and proactive resolutions for demand/supply imbalances and disruptions. • Ability to travel to different states for long-term assignments. • Other activities that process and/or company requirements may include. • Has knowledge and understanding of order scheduling, chain management, and tooling procurement related to plant products, ensuring that there are no outstanding orders for finished products and/or service parts. • Ability to perform purchasing functions with current suppliers related to the issuance of a purchase order. • Implements JIT and demand flow techniques in production. Understands and facilitates the use of KANBAN and 5S processes to ensure the highest quality and consistency in production • Responsible for developing a plan for each part (PFEP) • Responsible for effectively establishing and leading an efficient finished product operation in the warehouse, as well as maintaining finished product inventory levels using demand flow techniques. EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: • 5 to 7 years of experience in a similar position within the maquiladora industry, preferably automotive. • Extensive knowledge of production scheduling, warehousing, material handling operations, methods, and practices. • Knowledge of customs and Mexican and US regulations. • Ability to develop staff and work with high-performance teams, providing visible leadership at all levels. • Experience implementing production plans in accordance with the budget. • Effective communication and negotiation skills.
