Procurement Manager - Electronics Manufacturing Purchasing managers in the electronics manufacturing industry are responsible for overseeing and guiding purchasing teams to meet production requirements. Effective procurement strategies ensure timely delivery of materials, quality control, and supplier performance monitoring. Key Responsibilities: Lead and develop a team of senior buyers and purchasing specialists to achieve optimal performance and adhere to company policies. Oversee procurement activities, analyzing material requirements planning (MRP) data and coordinating with suppliers and internal departments to resolve delivery delays, quality issues, and invoice discrepancies. Implement purchasing key performance indicators (KPIs), reporting tools, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production planning, engineering, quality, and finance, to align procurement strategies with company objectives. Ensure compliance with internal controls, corporate policies, and regulatory requirements. Provide regular updates to management on material risks, cost trends, and supplier performance. Qualifications and Skills Minimum 5-7 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the electronics manufacturing industry. Proven leadership or supervisory experience with strong coaching and development skills. Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making abilities. Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and electronic components, BOMs, and vendor management. Fluent communication and interpersonal skills.
