Customs Operations Specialist

As a Customs Manager, you will oversee the factory's import and export customs operations ensuring compliance and efficiency. Key responsibilities include organizing and managing customs declaration clearance tax refund inspection and documentation. You must proficiently apply and implement local customs policies such as IMMEX and PROSEC in Mexico. Optimizing clearance procedures to reduce time and cost while mitigating compliance risks is also essential. A strong relationship with customs authorities brokers and logistics service providers is crucial for success in this role. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree or above preferably in International Trade Logistics Supply Chain Management or related fields. A minimum of 5 years' experience in import/export and customs management within manufacturing preferably with Japanese Korean or Taiwanese company background is required. In-depth knowledge of Mexican customs regulations and hands-on experience with IMMEX and PROSEC processes are necessary for this position. Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English capable of working in a multilingual environment are essential. Proficient in customs systems with strong cross-departmental coordination and risk management abilities are also required. Proven team management experience and a track record in process optimization are preferred but not mandatory.
