Import/Export Specialist

Objective: The Import/Export Specialist is responsible for coordinating and managing international shipments, ensuring compliance with customs regulations, and optimizing logistics operations. This role plays a key part in maintaining the smooth flow of goods across borders, supporting Foxconn's global supply chain efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Import & Export Operations Coordinate import and export activities, including documentation, scheduling, and customs clearance Classify goods according to tariff codes and ensure accurate declarations Prepare and process shipping documents such as commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading Monitor shipments to ensure timely delivery and resolve any transportation issues Compliance & Documentation Ensure all shipments comply with local and international trade regulations Maintain accurate records of import/export transactions for audits and reporting Stay updated on changes in customs laws, tariffs, and trade agreements Logistics Coordination Plan logistics routes and arrange transportation with carriers and freight forwarders Communicate with suppliers, customs brokers, and internal departments to ensure smooth operations Support warehouse and inventory teams with inbound and outbound shipment coordination Reporting & Process Improvement Track and report key metrics related to shipping performance and cost Identify opportunities to streamline import/export processes and reduce delays Assist in developing SOPs for international logistics procedures Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in international business, Logistics, or related field 2+ years of experience in import/export or international logistics Advanced English proficiency (spoken and written); Mandarin is a plus Strong knowledge of customs regulations and international trade documentation Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Foxconn provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability or genetics.
