Power and Data Manufacturing – Ardmore, AL Power and Data Manufacturing (Dekko) – Garrett, IN Power and Data Manufacturing (Furnlite) – Fallston, NC Corporate Office – Fort Wayne, IN Assembly and Molding Manufacturing – Avilla, IN Assembly Manufacturing – North Webster, IN Sales Office – Grand Rapids, MI Warehouse – El Paso, TX Manufacturing – Juárez, Chih., Mexico Location: Juárez, MX Department: Engineering Reports To: Operation Director Senior Position Summary The Engineering Manager will lead and manage the Engineering Department, ensuring operational excellence, process optimization, and the implementation of advanced technologies. This position plays a critical role in developing people, driving innovation, and aligning engineering strategies with Dekko’s Lean and Operational Excellence initiatives to enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance. Main Responsibilities Lead, train, and develop the Engineering team. Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes to ensure maximum efficiency, quality, and repeatability. Develop and maintain process documentation (drawings, flow charts, PFMEA, work instructions, visual aids). Lead continuous improvement projects to reduce waste and maximize asset utilization. Coordinate and control Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and process deviations , ensuring timely implementation and communication across departments. Collaborate cross-functionally to achieve organizational goals. Define operational metrics and objectives that drive plant performance (labor efficiency, scrap reduction, OPEX initiatives, capacity studies, etc.). Key Responsibilities Ensure overall equipment and production efficiency. Develop and execute annual production plans. Align people, materials, and capabilities with customer requirements. Ensure process quality and compliance with international standards. Promote talent development and team engagement. Manage budgets and actively participate in leadership meetings. Reinforce the company’s mission and long-term objectives through effective communication. Required Education Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering , or a related field. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification preferred. Experience 8–10 years of experience in engineering or related areas. At least 5 years in a leadership or managerial position . Proven experience in Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies . Experience implementing new technologies. Desirable experience in organizations certified under ISO 9001, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001 standards. Technical Knowledge Engineering principles, methods, and time studies. Applied statistics in manufacturing processes. GD&T and PFMEA. Familiarity with injection molding, stamping, machining, assembly, and welding processes.
