This is a key role responsible for ensuring technical excellence, process robustness, and compliance with quality standards within a regulated environment.Required ProfileGeneral Job DescriptionEnsure the design, validation, optimization, control, and continuous improvement of molding processes, guaranteeing operational efficiency, product quality, scrap reduction, and compliance with plant safety, quality, and cost standards.Education• Industrial, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Plastics Engineering, or related field.Experience• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in molding processes within a manufacturing/maquiladora environment.• Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.Knowledge, Training and Specific SkillsExpert knowledge of vertical and horizontal injection molding machines.Experience with Insert Molding, Overmolding, and Double Shot processes.Knowledge of hydraulic and electric molding machines.Injection molding process expertise.Scientific Injection Molding (SIM) Methodology – RJG Mold Master 1 certification minimum required.Interpretation of technical drawings and GD&T specifications.Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.Experience managing and developing documentation under ISO 13485 standards.APQP, PPAP, FMEA/AMEF, and SPC knowledge.Molding machinery and peripheral equipment knowledge.Microsoft Office proficiency – Excel and PowerPoint required; Microsoft Project preferred.Basic Minitab knowledge.Experience handling engineering resins.Scientific molding injection expertise.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop, validate, and optimize injection molding processes.Define and document process parameters, process sheets, monitoring systems, and work instructions for new, established, and optimized processes using DOE, SIM, and safe/efficient setup methodologies.Provide technical support for new product introductions (NPI), new mold development, pilot runs, and medical/non-medical process validations.Apply problem-solving methodologies such as 8D, Kaizen, and Six Sigma.Support control methodologies including SPC, Process Flow, FMEA, and Control Plans.Lead and manage Process Technicians and Mold Set-Up Technicians.Reduce cycle time, scrap, rework, and downtime through process improvements.Collaborate proactively with all departments to improve and streamline processes impacting Production and Program Development.Ensure compliance with customer quality standards, regulations, and internal procedures.Train and provide technical support to engineers, technicians, and operators.Monitor KPIs such as OEE, efficiency, scrap, and cycle times.Support internal audits, customer audits, and certifications.Support customer visits, potential customer evaluations, and new mold development activities.Support the evaluation, development, and follow-up of safety guidelines.Work with external customers on process development and communication of project-related activities as required.Languages• Intermediate to advanced English.For more information about our company and global impact, please visit:
