Job Description As a Technical Training Lead, you will oversee the development and implementation of standardized on-the-job training (OJT) programs across manufacturing sites. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Lead the development and deployment of OJT programs across production, maintenance, and other IDL roles. Establish training centers and create processes that support onboarding, cross-training, and upskilling. Collaborate with site leadership, engineering, and HR to ensure training materials reflect current processes and safety requirements. Certification & Competency Models: Design and implement certification pathways aligned to operational complexity and regulatory compliance. Ensure training matrices are updated, aligned to site needs, and integrated with career path frameworks. Manage systems for tracking training completion, expiration, and re-certification needs. Trainer Coaching & Development: Build and coach frontline trainers in delivering technical instruction using adult learning principles and standardized work methods. Evaluate trainer effectiveness and provide continuous feedback and development. Lead 'train-the-trainer' programs and support internal instructor certification. Content Development & Digitalization: Oversee creation and continuous improvement of SOP-based, video, and interactive training content. Partner with internal comms and digital learning teams to scale training content via LMS and mobile platforms. Support implementation of tablets and mobile stations for real-time, shop-floor training. Cross-Functional Leadership: Serve as liaison between HR, Engineering, EHS, QA, and Operations to align training with broader goals. Participate in external audits and internal process improvement initiatives. Partner with external vendors to co-develop high-impact programs. Requirements: Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technical Education, or related field. Master's preferred. Experience: 5+ years in technical training leadership roles within manufacturing. Skills: Strong instructional design and adult learning methodology knowledge SOP and competency model design Experience with LMS and digital learning tools Ability to manage multiple sites and build scalable processes Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written) Strong facilitation, coaching, and stakeholder management skills Operational mindset with ability to execute under pressure Desirable Qualifications: Experience in high-volume food manufacturing environments with regulatory oversight Familiarity with certification standards Experience launching training centers and OJT programs from the ground up Technical Trainer Manufacturing Training
