Job Description: Site Security Manager – BRP Position SummaryThe Site Security Manager (SSM) will lead all physical security and risk mitigation efforts at the BRP Juarez 1 facility specializing in powersports vehicles and components. This individual is responsible for implementing, and managing comprehensive security programs designed to protect people, property and product in compliance with cor porate standards, local laws, and international best practices.Reporting to the Regional Security Manager for Latin America, the SSM serves as the primary liaison between the plant's leadership team, local authorities, and corporate security functions. The role demands a proactive leader capable of managing complex security environments in an industrial setting while promoting a culture of safety, integrity, and continuous improvement.Key Responsibilities1. Security Operations ManagementLead daily security operations at the manufacturing site, ensuring 24/7 protection of people, property and product. Supervise and coordinate in-house and contract security personnel, ensuring effective post coverage, adherence to procedures, and professional conduct.Oversee the operation of access control, video management, intrusion detection, perimeter alarm, and visitor control.Implement incident response protocols for theft, workplace violence, medical emergencies, or industrial sabotage in coordination with the Local Emergency Management Committee. Maintain and enforce standards restricted area access, and secure handling of critical materials.2. Risk Assessment and MitigationConduct regular risk assessments and site vulnerability analyses to identify threats related to theft, vandalism, civil unrest, or supply chain disruptions.Implement risk mitigation strategies in accordance with the policies and procedures provided from the global security team. Compliance and StandardsEnsure full compliance with local laws, labor regulations, and corporate policies related to physical security, workplace safety, and ethical conduct.Implement corporate security standards such as CTPAT, ISO 28000, or ISO 37001 where applicable.Maintain accurate documentation for audits, inspections, and external certifications.Collaborate with customs and logistics departments to ensure supply chain security standards are upheld.4. Crisis and Emergency ManagementCoordinate and work with the Local Emergency Response Committee (LERC) to address identified emergencies and the execution of risk mitigation strategies. Develop and maintain an Emergency Response training for security guard forces covering natural disasters, industrial accidents, and civil disturbances.Conduct drills and tabletop exercises in coordination with health, safety, and production teams.Maintain communication protocols with corporate security, local law enforcement, and emergency services.5. Investigation and ReportingLead or support investigations into incidents of theft, fraud or workplace violence. Ensure the integrity of evidence collection, documentation, and confidentiality of sensitive information.Prepare detailed reports and executive summaries as required by BRP policies and procedures. Track and analyze security incidents to identify trends and develop prevention strategies.6. Personnel Leadership and TrainingManage a team of in-house and contracted security personnel; oversee recruitment, performance, and training.Provide ongoing security awareness sessions for employees, contractors, and visitors to strengthen a culture of vigilance and responsibility.Mentor and coach team members to ensure professional growth and succession planning.Promote collaboration with EHS (Environment, Health & Safety), HR, and Operations to align goals and build cross-functional resilience.7. Community and Law Enforcement LiaisonBuild and maintain strong relationships with local police, fire, customs, and emergency management officials.Participate in regional business and security associations (e.g., OSAC, AMCHAM, or ASIS Mexico Chapter).Represent the company in community safety initiatives and promote a positive corporate reputation within the local community.Qualifications and ExperienceEducation:Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.Master's degree or specialized certifications preferred (e.g., CPP, PSP, or CFE).Experience:Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive experience in security management, preferably within the manufacturing, automotive, or industrial sectors.Proven experience managing security operations in Mexico or Latin America, with knowledge of local law enforcement and labor environments.Experience in managing contracted security vendors and large-scale video management and access control systems.Demonstrated success in conducting risk assessments, investigations, and crisis management at an operational site level.Technical Skills:Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with incident management and reporting systems.Strong knowledge of integrated security technology (Lenel, Genetec, or similar).Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English (verbal and written) is essential.
